Selecting the optimal formwork system for horizontal elements

Various types of formworks are available in the market for construction cast-in-place concrete structures. Formwork has a significant impact on both time and cost. As such, decision making optimal formwork system is difficult timeconsuming designers or planners particularly high-rise buildings, where any reduction cost single-story significantly decrease total Formworks must be designed effectively as numerous accidents have happened result poor design decisions. This article presents Genetic Algorithm optimization model to select among Cuplock, Shore brace Props systems that widely used market. Market data components, systems, pricing many manufacturers gathered this purpose. The proposed applied case study project. Results show enhances procedure reduces costs. results indicate props least expensive easiest construct, however it limited story heights up 4.5m only. Cuplock shore almost having same price, with easier construct weighs less than brace.
